Recent innovations in the foodservice industry, like online booking and food delivery have made consumers' lives more convenient than ever. However, progress from a consumer perspective stands in stark contrast to what’s beneath the hood - the depressing state of professional kitchens. The $3.4tn industry, already previously grappling with record closures and mental health problems amongst employees is now hitting rock bottom as a result of the pandemic.

Enter Jelly

Our founder JJ regularly spent the summers of his teenage years working in kitchens. After finding himself back there once more a decade later, he was shocked to find out how little the industry had changed. Who would have thought quitting a career in banking to become a chef would be the the start of a journey to transform this industry through tech.


Jelly was founded 3 years ago to fundamentally transform the foodservice industry from the ground up - yes you guessed it - chefs in kitchens. Whilst bootstrapping in stealth, our app was adopted by 70+ foodservice sites, ranging from Michelin-starred restaurants to school canteens, from the UK to the US.

Since raising £2m in venture funding from Tier 1 VCs, including those that put the first money into Revolut, Transferwise and Just Eat, our team has grown 5x in the past 4 months. We're headquartered in London but our ambition is to scale globally, fast.

At a time when the global foodservice industry must undergo the biggest technological transformation in its history, we are a well-funded, early stage company with great traction, talent and timing to shape its future.

Your Opportunity

In this role, you will work directly with the CEO, Product Lead and Tech Lead to scale the business to a quadruple-digit number of sites over the next 12 months. Additionally, as the business scales, you have the opportunity to build a world-class growth team from the ground up.

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive acquisition and engagement of users and set new industry benchmark

  • Identify and implement a wide range of growth experiments at pace, including growth loops in product

  • Develop and execute our sales strategy, including both outbound (emails, calls, visits etc) and inbound (referral, partnership, social media etc) channels

  • Recruit and scale a world-class growth team

  • Set your team's culture, performance plan and comp plan that matches our ambition


  • Experience in the above in a high growth startup

  • Smart, curious and ambitious
